I chose this video because I saw the word Differentiation and it immediately caught my eye. Being a student in the Education Program here at Stockton has made me a true believer of Differentiation and how it in fact does work. I must say that watching this video and understanding how you must take what you have in your normal curriculum and really move forward with different ways of teaching. This school is Arizona started the re-teaching-enrichment program which is based on differentiation and it has moved them forward. They said how before that sat down to brainstorm new ways to teach these students their state test scores were plummeting. They had said that 5th grade Math was at the 39%, which obviously is unacceptable and they needed a big change. When they started this program they started to see these test scores rising and rising and that i what all of us teachers and future teachers should be doing everyday. Trying something new may be intimidating at first but the reward is usually worth it in the end. This video is very inspiring and when I watch things like this it makes me remember why I want to be a teacher!
